wts the channel name on the irc.freenode.net

i try ot use the X-chat in rh 7.3 i connected to irc.freenode.net but i didnt understand how to enter the room/channel when i press refresh the list it start counting servers and/channels and when i save the list it says i cant save empty list...............

wts the linuxpakistan channel on the server and how can i enter the server

Farhan, good question.

Go into the X-Chat server list. Create a new server entry Put the following info

name: IRC.freenode.net
server: irc.freenode.net
channels: #linuxpakistan, #debian, #redhat, #<YOUR_FAVORITE_DISTRO>
nickname: your nickname

Select the "AUTOCONNECT" command. and get out of that window.If you're like me and you only frequent a fixed list of channels by default, in the "Server List" window, check "No ServerList On startup". That way, next time you fire up xchat, it'll connect to freenode.net and join your favorite channels. Of course, you can set it to join different servers automatically, so you can do a similar config for irc.dal.net to join #pakistan.
