:D Guys thats great that u ppl r showing so much interest in meeting, i was there @ last meeting but it was arranged by ppl of Fauji Foundation linux society and they invited this was known to us after meeting ... any ways now we can arrange by ourself. I think its suitable to arrange in Blue Area that place will be convinient for all .... and also arrange ASAP..

:) i think the place and timings are fine for me other ppl should also give their coments....
one thing, if possible should be done for ppl who don't the place, i.e map should be uploaded otherwise some guidelines should be given for the new ppls...also the routes of loacal transport should be mentioned...

Thanks! I hope those who are in Rawalpindi/Islamabad can now find the place.

BTW it may be some problem at my end but the map for Islamabad is not displaying, it times out while map of F-10 has no problem in displaying. Thought just let you know. Nice work!

How to reach F-10 by local vans..........

Aoa to all.........
Those of u who will come by local vans should follow the following route...

1. First of all they have to reach karachi company
2. secondly for reaching F-10 u have to take van 120
thats it... rest u can see the map or contact any one here.......

keep it up boys ... all of u should be there at meeting on 2nd...

for FAWAD plz notify the meeting date

Aslam-o-Aliakum,

Special thx to FARHAN and NOUMAN, they come to Islamabad from Lahore to attend meeting...

Congratulations to all...
meeting successful in a mean that we start 03:20PM and finished 09:00PM, but no one want to finish it... when it get started... :shock: and

approximately 20 guys comes but due to some misunderstanding i.e a SAMINAR is taking place at 02:00 PM so that many guys comes at 01:30 PM but anyhow appox 15 guys attend the meeting.

Following are points which come under discussion and then presentation on these points (one by one) and then practice demonstration of these point (one by one)

Point come under Discussion :

:idea: History of UNIX / Linux OS..... status (done)
:idea: Comparisons with other Operation Systems (spacially MS products)..... status (done)
:idea: Presentation regarding installation of RHLinux, which is detail one and we try to cover all the details regarding installation so that no confusion will create to newbie...... status (done)
:idea: Recovery of Linux...... status (done)
:idea: Recovery of Linux Boot Loader....... status (done)
:idea: Recovery of Root Password....... status (done)
:idea: Use of Alias.... status (some point come under discussion but indepth discussion is necessary)
:idea: Configuration of addon device like Modem,Sound,CDROM etc. ....status (configured)
:idea: Configuration of samba...... status (configured)
:idea: Configuration of nfs....... status (configured)
:idea: Configuration of squid..... status (under configuration)
:idea: Source Code availability in LINUX and how to use it..... status (discussed but indepth discussed required)
:idea: Upgradation of Kernel...... status (overview given... but indepth discussion required).

thx to all the guys came and attend ... and personally i feel my feeling is that i learn a lot every thing which can be possible in 7 hours meeting.

thx... all of guys again... for the contribution, patience and efforts making the meeting successful.

Oh.... i'm missing a point in hurry .... sorry ... date for the next meeting will be announce soon after EID.... from ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI guys EID MUBARRAK to all guys.

yep, you (PLUCian in Islamabad/Rawalpind) should try to keep Linux flag now up ... I would say everyone (PLUCian) everywhere in Pakistan, should keep Linux flag UP ...
