Hi, AFAIK, no you cant do directx on linux. But who cares OpenGL is there and its really cool in linux. Bye.

Well, technicallly you cannot run DirectX in linux
But opensource projects like Wine ( www.winehq.org ), RWind ( rwind.sf.net ) allows to run many windows based application and games on linux.
Also, there is this somewhat commercial WineX ( transgamming.com) which allows many high end commercial games like Half life, Tomb Raider, and many more to run in linux.
