Post by gabriel_ameen »

I have just installed windows 2000 advanced server on my computer. When for the first time I connected to the internet after some time a window poped up saying that Messenger Service Message from SECURITY to ALERT on 9/8/2005 STOP! WINDOWS REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION Windows has found 24 CRITICAL SYSTEM ERRORS Actions to take now: 1. Download Registry Repair from http://www.fixregerror.com 2.Install Registry Repair 3. Run Registry Repair 4. Reboot your computer FAILURE TO ACT NOW MAY LEAD TO DATA LOSS AND CORRUPTION! I went to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and installed all the updates and patches. I also installed mcafee virus scan and firewall. But still when i connect to the internet i get this message.but everytime the the url changes e.g http://CleanTheReg.com Please help me. What should I do?

man, stop the messenger service...

go to start --> settings --> control panel --> Administrative tools --> services

open services dialog box, and scroll down until u get "messenger"

just double click on it, stop it and disable it, u wont get those nasty things... see yeah
