Msn Messenger problem

AOA to All Members
i have a problem with msn msg
1. i have proxy server on MS ISA server
2. No client server envoirnment. Just on workgroup.
3. i am using redhet 7.3 with Amsn.
4. i cannot sign msn through the Amsn.
any one solve my problem.
plz reply me i will very thankful to you.

Hi,

The two best Instant messaging clients for linux are GAIM and AMSN.
GAIM is the best (which supports MSN/ICQ/AOL/Yahoo and lots more)
AMSN Is the second best and is based on tcl, and is only for MSN.

Now, Connecting to IM networks through proxies esp socks proxies has always remained a problem and only a few people are able to connect their IM clients through a proxy , be it in windows or in linux.

Try changing the proxy configuration in amsn, or get hold of GAIM and install it.may be gaim would work with your proxy.

Download Gaim 0.67 released on 15th august from:

Hehe, i think i already said that gaim and amsn are the best two msn IM clients for linux.

Both AMSN and Gaim do have proxy support, but many people here have proxies that arent compatible with gaim or amsn.

ANywayz, try upgrading to the latest version of gaim from gaim.sourceforge.net and AMSN from amsn.sourceforge.net

keep an eye out for my Omsn on sourceforge..should be coming soon enough.
Im making it in perl/tk. and has a lot of additional functionality.

as for the gurus here..any ideas or suggestions on it are very welcome.
