MSN Configuration

ASALAM-O-ALIKUM

how are you . I have installed Kubuntu today . I have 2 Pc at home one is laptop and it has Windows XP and second is Desktop with Kubuntu . My Internet is connected on windows PC I have shared the internet and the internet working on my linux. Now I want to do more thing first tell me please how I share my files between the PC and how I connect the MSN ( Please Tell me configuration ) and Modem Installation because I have planed to make my linux PC to server please teach me fully.

For MSN, use aMSN. Its simple to install and use.

1st of all you have to install modem at ur Linux PC
2ndly run internet on it
3rd share internet from Linux to 2nd PC
and enjoy

Dear Friend,

if you want to make your ubuntu as a proxy server then you have to configure squid on it http://www.squid-cache.org
and
for file sharing between ubuntu and windows you need to configure samba server http://www.samba.org
