Hello,

Simple type .. put the script I'm giving you anywhere you want.

Like

vi /etc/squid/ip.sh

Or

vi /root/Desktop/ip.sh

Or

vi /blah/blah/ip.sh

Paste there some lines

#!/bin/bash
#echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

iptables -F
iptables -t nat -F

iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -j MASQUERADE

Then

service iptables save

service iptables restart

Then nslookup cnn.com

It will show you this

nslookup cnn.com
Server: 192.168.1.1
Address: 192.168.1.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: cnn.com
Address: 64.236.16.20
Name: cnn.com
Address: 64.236.16.52

---------------------

Then type

cat /etc/squid/squid.conf | sed '/ *#/d; /^ *$/d'

And paste all what it shows YOU.

------------------------

And how your *nix box is connected to Windows Box?

1) Try Cross Cable?
2) Through Switch?
3) Users are getting Bandwidth through *nix box?
3) Howmany NIC's you have on your Box? (NIC = Lan Card)

Thanks

..

Regards,

Khurram Nawaz.

Dear Siraj Ahmed,
Salam,

If i am not wrong this person is doing Internet sharing using Windows 2000 Professional.

# iptables -t nat -F
# iptables -F
# netconfig --device=eth0

Configure your IP Address and in Gateway give IP Address of your Windows 2000 Professional Machine.

Best Regards.
