anyone here working on linux distro building .. i did tried it ..did well but still majors to go..............

Friend,
I tried few days back. I was able to made a bootable linux cd with just kernel,while it boots it gives error when init starts.....what u are into ? n how u doin...

it stops booting and while pressing any key it ask for root password .......and I didnt put any

Did you tried to enter root password and see what happen ?

I think he means that he didn't set any root password.

raheelahmad, It would be useful to know what distributions your distro is based on or what are you doing as it would help analyzing the problem.

I am working with couple of ex-vector linux developers on 7linux, which is based on LFS, it is almost complete, still needs some polishing though. We would be releasing final version soon :)

P.S: There is not much info on website, yet.
