Dear kadnan,
Salam,
Best Regards.
Salam,
I believe there is final meeting in Feb 2008 or March 2008. You can get more details from Osman or Sufiyan from OSRC.kadnan wrote:Can anyone update what Pakistan did in case of OOXML? did they even vote for either Yes or NO and they were not aware at all?

Re: OOXML and Pakistan's position
Latest is [ sorry for delay in posting ] that matter will be reconsidered thanks to the efforts by OSRC team and their Minister Mr Leghari.
I am requesting Sufyan to post update here [ it is better if OSRC people post ] for every one. Previous thread was in Gup Shup hence it got deleted.
Pakistan's position about OOXML in not final Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) will decide after it has heard the other side also. Credit for all this goes to OSRC.
Tariq.

OOXM and Ministry of IT
Dear All,
I would like to give a brief on this hot issue and its current status
The meeting to review the OOXML standard and Pakistan's view point will be
organized by PSQCA in late november. The good news is that PSQCA has agreed upon reconstitution of the IT committee which was earlier dominated by microsoft and its gold partner companies.
Those who are expert on the subject and can make healthy arguments in the upcoming meeting may please contact Director Standardization Mr. Nazir Hussain and request him to send an invitation to participate in the meeting. Those who are participating or intend to write to PSQCA to be invited are requested to inform OSRC so that we may contact all participants before the meeting and do proper home work for the meeting. Please CC your emai to skakakhel at pseb.org.pk and kislam at pseb.org.pk
Meanwhile pelase spare 2 minutes and sign the NOOXML petition at

Thanks,
Sufyan Kakakhel
