Hello
I am on a Windows network (connected by router). My PC has kubuntu 8.04, whenever I try to download something, my PC disconnects from internet after some time. I think that the Admins blocks my IP Address because when I change my IP manually, I get online again. How can I hide my IP Address (and other relative information) from Admins so that they can not restrict me from downloading?
Or what can be other reason for this problem?
Thanks
Hide IP Address and other relative Info
what do you mean by "disconnected"? what happens, exactly? does the same problem occur when you download with windows? how exactly are you connected to the internet through their network? do they have proxies? do you have to authenticate to the proxies before downloading? what kind of proxies are they?
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?
