Asterisk and Panasonic KX-TES824

I am working in International trading company. We are using Panasonic KX-TES824 PBX.

We want to use Asterisk with Panasonic KX-TES824. I want to know, Which kind of benefits Asterisk can provide? We want to connect computer with Panasonic KX-TES824. Computer will keep record of incoming and outgoing calls in database. How it is possible?

You need to write AGI in order to keep records of Incoming/Outgoing call with Call Recording. Asterisk can provide you many thing.

this is odd. you say you want to use asterisk, but then you ask us what its benefits are. how did you decide on asterisk as a solution if you don't already know what it's good for?
