Ping application

Postby osama » Fri Jan 16, 2009 11:59 am

Hello,
I want to ping my host on a port other then default icmp port. Is there any application which I can host on my linux server which send icmp replies while listening on specified port. Actually i want to know TTL of my system from external world. I am not talking about port scanners

Regards,
Osama

there is no default icmp port. icmp is not tcp/ip. it doesn't have a "port".

what do you mean by ttl?
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?
