which one is better idea, Naios OR Cacti

Hello All,

I am monitoring some servers using the Cacti and Nagios. I am using Nagios to monitor the services of my servers and Cacti to monitor the bandwidth graphs. Emailing option is present in both but currently email notifications are sent from Cacti.
I prefer using Nagios in case if i can implement the graphs on it.

you can configure nagios to send email alerts as well just read its doc you will find ur answer!

but any help on what is the best plugin to setup graphs with Nagios. i need both graphs and services status using Nagios.

Nagios is for monitoring services, it will send you alert if one of your specified service is down however Cacti is for graphing like CPU usage, Port Usage and so on.

Yup Farrukh bhai is right as i haven't seen nagios creating traffic graphs as well!

after search, i found pnp nagios plugin, this can enable nagios to generate graphs also. thanks
