I am looking for a technique or tool so that i can migrate SQL databases into mysql(linux).

all you need to do is dump the tables/databases and restore them. use mysqldump, probably with the --opt flag.

mysql's docs are very detailed.
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!

You can use MySQL Migration Toolkit.

huh, i guess people really do mean microsoft's sql server when they say "sql". probably like how "browser" means "internet explorer" to most people.
