Hide Squid version

Postby refra » Sat May 16, 2009 1:19 pm

I configure squid to allow my company financial department to view some financial sites, ACL's are given below:

acl fincusers src "/etc/squid/finc-users"
acl fincsites url_regex -i "/etc/squid/finc-sites"
http_access allow fincsites fincusers

Now i replace a text error message of file "/usr/share/squid/errors/English/ERR_ACCESS_DENIED with my customize text:

COMPolicy Error

Access Blocked Due to COM Policy

Please contact for more information:

Email: %w
Generated at %t by %h

but still it shows a squid version in error file like (squid/2.6.STABLE12).

How can i hide a squid version in error message

Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?
