how to mount SATA Harddrive

Postby mohdali2 » Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:15 pm

I have RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, I installed 750 GB SATA Hard drive on my
computer, just wanted to know what is the dev address of SATA Harddrive.

I have primary hard drive which have /dev/hda the other one is secondary hard
drive which starts from /dev/hdc.

Thanks in advance

what does "fdisk -l" or "dmesg | grep sectors" say? sata devices are usually sd*.
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?

As mentioned by lambda you need to check either "dmesg" or "fdisk -l"

Best Regards.
