Hi ,

Some months before we got an issue in our oracle Database and suddenly it went down after doing trial and error we found bin directory of Oracle its self is miising we copied the directory from out side after that none of oracle comands are working giving error
cannot execute [Exec format error]"

for any Oracle command please help if any expert in forum

ORACLE version 7.3.4 on unix 7.1

check owner and group of oracle directory.

Thnks Shakir,

I have cheked permissions are same on oracle
user is oracle and group is dba
also can you tell me if i can install oracle 7.3.2 on Centos 5 and migrate the data base from crashed server I am trying to install it on Linux as well as unix but when running ./rootpre.sh its giving me error please insatll libraires/header files for unix application developments version 5.0a

I never try oracle 7.3.2 on Linux, if you need I have installation media for SCO Unix.5

Further I have .tar format file, whenever my unix system crash, simply I install unix and untar that file in oracle folder and it works properly.

Shakir thanks i restored my Oracle database but i need forms and report which was bundled with oracle 7.2 do have it with u if yest i realy need this badly let me know your contact i will contact u , or you can email me on farasatalic@gmail.com

Thnks shakir,

i got the media but getting the following error while executing

$ ./ORAINST
ls: tk2c*.res not found: No such file or directory (error 2)
Supported Terminals are :

TERM=ansi ORACLE_TERM=
Can't find resource file
/cdrom/ORAINST/./tk2{TERM}.res or
/cdrom/ORAINST/./tk2{ORACLE_TERM}.res
Please set your TERM variable to one of the supported terminals.
Exiting orainst procedure.

Dear sorry for late reply, actually I am not at office, within 2-3 days I will be there I will send you complete document how to install step by step procedure ( scan copy) by email.

Shakir,

Thanks alot , My oracle is already installed and i only want forms and reports what i found I i need to rename tk2c files like TK2CANSI i have to rename it in small letter than it got executed similarly this is happening with every file dont know if there is some special commad .. Just let me know where i am doing mistake also send me the Document i will read that may help me
