system transfer to harddisk

Anyone can guide me how to transfer system from CD ROM to harddisk like in windows we use sys command.

I am using red hat linux version 6.2

:lol: what you think that those 4 files that dos transfers to your drive is a system.
dear dont compare every thing with microsoft world. things are different here.
well but you can have a linux on a single floppy.

To answer the original question, you can dd the GRUB image onto a partition. However, that is hardly neccesary these days as the distros usually take care of setting up the loader for you.
