vsftpd

Post by ejunooni »

Salam all!
new to this forum.
not too new to linux but not too old either.
i was just wondering if anyone has ever used vsftpd and if its possible to limit the number of downloads/uploads with vsftpd.
The vsftpd.conf that already is there has no such option.

You can use the per_source option to limit the number of connections from a particular client. Also of interest is the max_per_ip option. Both of these are in vsftpd.conf(5). If you need to do more fine tuning than this, consider proftpd.

Grab a copy from freshrpms.net. The packages there are of pretty decent quality (and they are apt-gettable!!!).
