We do have 10 ltopics which are latest in term of reply/post . Increasing that to 20 will need change in layout of main page. There is no restriction on not changing that but it depends upon the demand by users.

If your proposal is to post the entire text of message then it needs more thinking / discussion and work. Can you make a png image of main page how it will look if your idea is implemented ?

make a small link below last 10 post for last 20 (other 10) posts.

or in forum. for each type of category higlight or show or preiew last 5 for each forum category... like 'General' 'Jobs' ....
