yep, fawad i agree with u.
before going to any seminar/workshop organized byPLUC we will have to prepare ourselves before that. The first whic i would like to do is to keep the list updated what is going one, i.e this time we decided in the meeting that there would be a seminar at KU & then we knew about seminar only a day before when Asim posted about its, then in the evening they posted about the map...
i think it is not the best way to organize something, bcz in a day notice no one can make sure to come or not ... so everything should be discussed in detail atleast one week before the event. hope in the future we will do InshAllah better .... :D

hmmm

the presenters must prepare themselves before going to seminar and ensure that every thing is working fine including presentations, machines and softwares etc. I was not able to attend the seinar coz of my univeristy class. but inshallah i will be in meeting today. hope eveything will be ok in the next seminar inshallah.

Re: Permission to come in KU

Post by sqahmad »

Ok, i know its too late, but i 'm telling this to prevent any future mishaps.
Aleem was denied the entrance from Silver Jubilee gate.
I also went to KU, and the guard at Silver Jubilee gate stopped me also. On my insistence , the guard asked 'staff gate' personnels but they also didn't know anything about seminar. Then i insisted him to talk to Mr. Asif , campus officer.( As i read in pluc mail from asim/sabaina). Mr Asif then told the guard to let me in.
In my opinion, it was due to the change of guards, and shifting of check point to the main gate at 4 pm.
Aleem reached at the gate after 4 pm. I also reached there after 4 pm ( i was tooooooo early for the seminar ;) ).

Qutub.

that if there is such activity , they refused to let him in ..

Aleem>actualli it was the KU guard that stopeed me
Aleem>he even asked from CS dept but they refused to let me in
basit@pak says>bad
Even though its too late now, did he say from which gate he was not allowed to enter the KU premsis?

Jabber, we currently don't have a mechanism set up for arranging meetings. Right now, we go by word of mouth the pluc@linux.com.pk. If you think you can pull off a meeting in Pindi, do fire off a detailed proposal at pluc@linux.com.pk and enter the ranks of PLUC pioneers. :D
