pls check the IRQ and mem i/o
run kudzu after removing a lan card
then again activate the modem and then configure both after checking the irq and mem i/o

Double check the ports and irq's/Dma settings for the two hardware.Confirm that they are on different ports.Maybe you specified one port to both and now they conflict.

Linux Modem - Network Card Problem

Post by linuxgeek »

Assalam O Alaikum There,

The problem is not with the irq or anything ig uess... it basically lies with the routing ... when you enable the lan card , eht0 in my case , it basically becomes the default gateway and route ..and thats why when you try to browse with ur lan card activated it will actually route the data from the lan card instead of the modem ...... hmmms the solution to this is that you can change the priority of the routes in Redhat Network Config .... menu , if you are using RH 8.0 .. lemme know if you couldnt find it .. i will give u a link to some graphical help.!
