80 GB SATA HDD on FC2

Hi All

Can i install FC2 on 80 GB SATA Hard Drive? I try to install FC2 but SATA hdd not dected when created partition. Do i need additional driver for SATA or upgrade kernel. My kernel version is

2.6.5-1.358

Anybody knows and help me how can i install FC2 on 80 GB SATA.

Dear Majid,

Try to install Kernel above 2.6.9, like if you will try FC-4 or above i am sure that will must work.

Same RHEL 4 not work with SATA but update#1 works fine with SATA Drive.

Check the module name of sata that is detected by new version , download that module and include it in to floppy and start setupusing dd method , if you will follow this method sata is also work with RH9
