it's called MAC spoofing and you can solve this problem to implement Layer 2 switches (if you can't affoard) then you have to implement PPPoE server on your network and it will resolve your issue. I also search on this issue but i did not see any soluton on net and still search the solution of this ...

nothing difference between tar-ball and precompiled packages. from tar-ball packages, you can manipulate installation options enable/disable some features
