I say, instead of using yum command and making this much confusion, you can use CD to install nfs server on your machine and then mount the file/ directory you want

grub issue

Hello :) ,

After i recompiled the kernel version today and rebooted the server, it did not reboot and then i tried with linux rescue mode. i executed this command /mnt/sysimage/sbin/grub-install /dev/hd0
grub not found
i get the above error. Please let me know how to fix this issue. :roll:

Can you please install the graphical rpm package again, may this be the issue OR else can you please test this with any other graphical card, if other graphical card works then graphical card support is the issue . 8)

A longer, more extended check of one partition
--> badblocks -n -v /dev/hda1

A quick check of only one partition
--> badblocks -v /dev/hda1

To find additional info about your hard disk, use this command:

--> hdparm -i /dev/hda
