The Good one, You don't need any special tools to write Urdu text on this site apart from those that your OS already provides. As far as I know, the admins do not have to enable anything. So go ahead write in Urdu. If you need any help, please check: http://geocities.com/jessbody2000/ The only thing...

Urdu text already works on this forum. Only the subject header does not take Urdu. I can easily post in Urdu from my Linux box using FireFox, as I am sure everybody else can. Only problem is that most of us can type faster in english. I have compiled some tips for Urdu use under Linux, which maybe u...

FREE is GOOD

Anjum, I understand what you have said. But FREE is always good. It is not just the money, it saves the hassle of going through money orders and post offices. On the spur of the moment, you can fire an email and get CD's. Not everyone starts with high motivation. It always helps to ease the first st...

Warning

A fair warning to newbies that Gentoo is not for beginners. Beginners need a gentle introduction to Linux. Also many people install Linux on aging machines on which Gentoo may take days to install. For technically inclined, Slackware may be the easier first choice. This is not a flame bait, merely m...

Apparently config cannot find the path to the Qt library. Read INSTALL to see what prefixes can be passed to ./configure If the above does not work, check in "config.log" where it is looking for the Qt library. You can make a soft link from the actual lib path to where it is looking ln -s ...

Just
1) delete the file /etc/libcwait.so
2) Edit the file /etc/ld.so.preload and delete the last line "/etc/libcwait.so"

What the bold line is doing is compiling (gcc) the code fragment assembled by the cat command.
