Asterisk Requirments are very low depends on how much your concurrent calls
I am running asterisk from last 16months , which is handling always 50 - 85 concurrent calls and having 550 users
so my hardware is
200 GB harddisk SCSI
1 ghz Xeon
512 MB RAM
Debian GNU Linux
this hardware requirement is more than enough for more 500 users as per my current hardware configuration.
any thing more you want to know please do let me know

Regards,
Syed Bilal Masaud

Re:
Dear manwerjalil,
Salam,
Its depends upon your requirement. If you want to use Asterisk as Real Time then you can use two NIC's which have total different network one can only have access to Database Server another one will be listening for SIP/IAX2 calls.
I would prefer you to have a look into below site. It will help you with all available OpenSource and Commercial VoIP Solutions.
FYI, http://www.voip-info.org
Best Regards.

do you intend to plug a phone line into your asterisk box?
Watch out for the Manners Taliban!
Isn't it amazing how so many people can type "linuxpakistan.net" into their browsers but not "google.com"?
