Windows games on Linux ( Edubuntu 7.04 )

Dear Brother,

AoA, Have a nice day! My cousin in lahore is Class 10 th student. He want to learn Computer.
I introduce him with Linux ( Edubuntu 7.04 ) in Dual boot enviormnet with Windows XP.
He install edubuntu him self. Amazing Na!!!

He is highly intrested to use Linux for Ever. Most of experienced user does know about Linux.
But there is difficulty to use in linux ( Edubuntu 7.04 ).

He can not play Win32 (based) games on linux. This thing discourge him to leave linux.

2ndly, there is no Video / sound on Edubuntu 7.04.
Dead Linux. ( which means start Linux see desktop, and Happy for second and shut down the linux and restart the system for Windows )

Please hekp me to survive NEW LINUX USER.

and by the way what is meaning of emulator like wine etc.

You can suggest KOS to your cousin if he has 256Mb ram and about 6GB free space. It is Debian sid based [ except for installer and few applications it is pure Debian, conforming to its build policies for Custom Debian Distro. ] distro will have most of the things you are asking for working out of the box though due to space constraints only one game on the CD other's you can download or wait a bit for second CD which will contain more.

I have a suggestion for Karachi OS.
How about a feature which allows users to carry their operating system in a flash drive with them anywhere they go?
It can be done in two ways:
1. By installing Karachi OS on a flash drive and taking it where needed.
2. The above method will not work for people with old PCs like me. So another way can be to modify Karachi OS in such a way that it can save the user's settings to a file on the flash drive or any other disk. Just like slax Linux and Puppy Linux.
It may not be easy but it would be a great and useful feature.
If the administrators like the suggestion then we shall start a separate topic for it.

Tariq Farooqi emailed to me about KOS and asked if I could contribute in anyway. I promised to do so in documentation, since I am not an IT expert. As promised to do so after exams, I wrote to Tariq Farooqi a couple of times before and after coming to Pakistan in Sep this year. He never responded, too busy I guess.

I suggest that the administrators should start a new topic like "Linux-Pakistan needs you" or something like this and state there everything they need volunteers for.
