Call Forwarding Detection with Asterisk

Using Asterisk, it is possible to tell when a call placed to a phone number has been forwarded to another phone number? For example:

- I set my phone number (212-555-1111) to forward to another phone number (212-555-2222)
- Asterisk places an outbound phone call to my original phone number: 212-555-1111
- I receive the call on the phone number I forwarded my calls to: 212-555-2222

Does Asterisk pass back any information about the call that would indicate that the original phone number has been forwarded to another phone number? Thanks.
