ah, yes, zend. i meant to type "zend", but typed "zope" because i was trying to get zope working in the other window.

i used zend once (a co-worker won a copy in a contest). it runs on java, and seemed pretty useful. however, i don't like php, and didn't use it for much.

I am also using Jedit but we can't preview in it like that of Zend Studio and NVU.

I would recommend using gPHPEdit, or BlueFish, they are not WYSIWYG editors though.

If you want WYSIWYG editor, try kompozer, it's same as nvu but with bug fixes and few more features (nvu is not being developed anymore).

P.S: Kompozer and NVU don't support PHP well, and they don't produce "clean" code, which is very hard to read/edit by hand.

PHP Editor

I don't get it why people (except saquib_javed) keep forgetting about ECLIPSE.

Free, OpenSource, Platform Independent (kind of :D) and many languages can be integrated in it.

The efficiency of this tool can be judged by the fact that ADOBE is using this as a BASE for their Flex2 IDE.
