i downloaded MPlayer-1.0rc1.tar.bz2.
i tar it.
than i ./configure it
and than i make & make install it.
but it did not play. how i can play my video songs.???
plsease looking for simple and also technical help.

codecs issue
You need to download its codecs as well and put it into codec's dir and then try to run. It will work..
if you using fedore just do
